The Village Green Welcomes New Executive Director
The Village Green is pleased to announce the appointment of Dale Gordon as its new Executive Director, beginning Nov 3rd. Dale brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, community development, media, events and public service – and was named one of Tampa Magazine’s Top 10 Leading People in 2016. Since 2018 she and her husband have lived and worked on the plateau and raised their 2 sons here.
Turkey Trotters
Kick off Thanksgiving morning with the Gobble on the Green 5K Run/Walk on November 27, at 9:00 A.M. at The Village Green in Cashiers, a festive and family-friendly tradition celebrating community and gratitude.
Festival of Trees
Each Thanksgiving weekend, the Cashiers Festival of Trees lights up the Summit Center with festive décor, community spirit, and support for Summit Charter School.
Chili and Cheers
As autumn paints the plateau in fiery hues, the community gathers to celebrate the season’s bounty, brisk evenings, and bold flavors at the much-anticipated Chili Cook-Off on October 16 at the Cashiers Village Green.

This October, young adventurers can uncover the secrets of spiders at Spooky Spiders of North Carolina—a hands-on nature event led by expert naturalist Brian Bockhahn.
Trick-or-Treat Street
On Saturday, October 25, Frank Allen Road transforms into a twilight trail of costumes, candy, and community cheer for the third annual Halloween Trick-or-Treat Street — a free, family-friendly celebration of spooky fun and sweet memories.
